The Second Chance Advocacy Program, Inc. originated as a grant-funded program by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2010. In its first year of operation, the S-CAP program reduced the recidivism rate for the women in the program from 70% to 8%.
S-CAP is the only “hands-on” re-entry program in Norman, Oklahoma providing one-on-one mentor coaching and service navigating to participants. Other re-entry initiatives focus primarily on training and workshops only.
S-CAP is a 501 (c) 3, nonprofit organization and is registered as a charitable organization with the State of Oklahoma.
